"Mitsugetsukei Honey" by Sakuraga Mei (NSFW)

Well, it's been a little while since I last reviewed, but I guess that it'll be that way for a while now that fall is coming up, and the days are going to be back to the "usual" schedule.
I was mostly doing paper work today, (Trying to be productive, yeah!) so I only had time to read this one one-shot for now before reviewing and hitting the sack.

Basically, there's this student aiming for a law school, and has to study like there's no tomorrow. However, he also has to make a living for himself, living on his own. During one of his part-time jobs, this handsome man shows up and wants to have him for "take-out". (I lawled at that, by the way.)

There's really just one sex scene in this one-shot, but I'm not really surprised since it is a one-shot chapter.
Like Sakuraga-sensei's usual work, this story and art was cute and sweet.
"Mitsugetsukei Honey" is a cute little read, but not too little, since it's like 30-something pages.

"No Color" by Natsume Isaku

So I just finished "No Color" by Isaku-sama, and I would give a thumbs-up for this manga. :)
Unlike the last manga I've reviewed, this one has a plot. Kinda.

Basically, "No Color" is about the relationship between two neighbors in an apartment, one who's an academic student in university, and the other a part-time photographer. They couldn't be any more different, but I guess the term "opposites attract" applies here.

In my opinion, I think that Isaku-ssensei's other works, like "Sugar Code" and "Doushiyoumo Nai Keredo" were more enjoyable story-wise, and sex-wise too. Seriously, I think there was only one sex scene in this manga. But don't worry too much about it, if you're the type of person that prefers shounen-ai over yaoi. It wasn't really explicit, but still nice for development.

Isaku-sensei's art style is "cute" in a way, I don't really know how to put it into words, and the way she draws in the blushes of her characters is adorable. *laugh*
Overall, "No Color" deserves to be read at least once for enjoyment, and should really be labeled "Shounen-Ai" and not include the "Yaoi" part. Really, if it bothers people that much, they could just skip ahead a couple pages and still be good, though there's not much of a need to.

First Review! "Oresama no Toriko" by Amagi Reno (NSFW)

So, I finally decided to get to giving you all some of my recommendations of good yaoi mangas that I read or have read.

Today, I just finished "Oresama no Toriko" by Amagi Reno, one of my favorite mangakas.
The main plot of the story is.... There basically is none.
Mostly, it revolves around this couple of a high-school teacher and a potter. (Not Potter, it's potter.)
They're so in love with each other, mostly 'cause of the sex, but try to overcome "obstacles" that come across their path of love. They face many awkward challenges, some that don't even make sense. (?)

Generally, I would only pick up to read this type of yaoi for the laughs, and sometimes for the sex scenes. Reno-sensei draws very beautifully, my favorite type of artwork so far. And her humor sends me to the floor clutching my stomach sometimes. Or the occasional snort.

The link to this manga is below, on MangaFox. (I will be providing links to my recommended mangas, usually from the "popular" sites, like MangaFox, MangaReader, MangaHere, MangaGo, ect. But usually ones most people use the most.)

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all enjoy this recommended manga!
Feel free to comment on how you thought about it, I'm all ears to listen.
Besides any bad things to say about my reviewing.
'Cause then I'll verbally slap you.
Have a good day/night! :)

801 Menu (A.K.A. Dictionary)

The following is a collection of terms that us fellow fudanshi and fujoshi, or yaoi lovers, use and see often in our adventures (This is also WIP.):

Boy's Love (BL) = Literally, a homosexual relationship between two male persons. In Japanese, BL is literally translated "shounen-ai". It is not as graphic as yaoi.

Shounen-Ai = Defined above. :)

Yaoi = Pronounced "yah-oh-ee/yow-ee". Also known as Boy's Love, it is a Japanese acronym that stands for Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi ("No peak [climax], no fall [punch line], no meaning.") It is slightly different from shounen-ai, which is considered less "hardcore" than yaoi in a sexual sense.

801 = This set of numbers is a play off of the pronunciation of the word "yaoi". In Japanese, 8 is "ya" when counting objects, 0 is, well, "oh", and 1 in standard counting begins with the sound "i", like how we say the letter "e" by itself. So when you see "801", that's always yaoi coming ahead.

Seme = Literally "to attack" or "top", it stands for the male position in a sexual relationship. Also called "tachi," or "sword," as a play on the meaning of "to attack".

Uke = Literally "to recieve" or "bottom", it stands for the female position in a sexual relationship. Also called "neko," or "cat," as the position an uke can take during sexual intercourse.

More terms to come! :D

Hello World.

Hello fellow fudanshi and fujoshi everywhere!

I've created this blog for your sakes, to give full and honest reviews of great yaoi/shounen-ai manga, and their mangakas, otherwise know as the author and artists.

This blogspot is still a work-in-progress, and so it might be a little while longer before I actually make my first review, but fear not! That time will be soon, as soon as I figure out how to customize my blog.

I will also be creating a small collection of Japanese phrases and words for those unfamiliar with our common language. A yaoi dictionary, so to speak.

Thank you very much, and I hope you all look forward to reading.
Feel free to comment on posts when I make a review, because I like to hear your opinions as well! :)
Have a good day (or night, wherever you are)!
