Update: Happy New Year Folks. Resolution time?

So. This year is finally over. 2014 is coming our way, and what have I accomplished so far? NOTHING. :D

Well, not really nothing, but not much to talk about or to be proud of. Like making this blog. To be honest, I don't really know why I even start these kinds of things. Like a year or two ago, I made a deviantART account, and was pretty active with checking. That is, up until like last May or June or so. Haven't even logged on since. For *months*, I haven't logged in. How long can a normal person not log on so some account of their's? This seems to happen all the time to me: I get obsessed over something for a good while, kinda slow down a little, kick it back up, then this cycle continues until I lose interest altogether. Kinda like this blog here. But luckily, since I'm still here blabbing along with no one to listen to me, I guess that means that I still have some kind of interest. Somewhere.

God, I have the attention span of a middle schooler. Thanks for this year so far, and enjoy the night. I look forward to attempting (key word: attempting) to challenge my New Year's resolutions. Like updating here more often. Okay.

So long.

Update: Random thing.

This has nothing to do with my reviewing, or the blog at all, but in case you ever feel nauseated: Ginger ale works wonders. Trust me. This morning, I've been having abdominal pains and the urge to vomit for the past few hours, research online (and remembered) that ginger ale works for stomach problems. Took it easy for the rest of the time until now, and the pains are practically gone.
I took a day off anyways, just in case. Now I have to make some rice porridge to be on the safe side. Good stuff, Asian food. Take this from an Asian, nothing better than homemade food. Or a bowl of instant ramen after a long vacation. Either works.

About me not being here as usual. That's still being worked out. If I had more time in the world, I would probably waste it here and on MMORPGs.

By the way, I've been reading a few mangas lately, but not much to catch my attention. If I find one, I might do it sometime this week. Who knows.

Gonna get back to my ginger ale and porridge. And maybe sleep. Good things for when you feel nauseated. Or just sick in general. I didn't vomit yet, luckily. Probably not gonna by this point. Praise the Lord.

Signing off. *blows kisses*

Update: I broke my promise. Again. So I shall hold a thingy.

I should feel so ashamed of myself. I'm going to smack myself for that now....

Ow. Okay, I'm done. So. I sincerely apologize for all this delay. I said that I would update that same day, but I didn't. As an apology gift: I will write a story of any kind for anyone that responds first to this post. If anyone responds anyways. My days have been so hectic to coordinate time for what I want to do and what I have to get done first. Now that Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up, I *should* (key word there) have more free time to update you guys with what I like in the yaoi world, but there's never a guarantee about everything....

If any reader is viewing this right now, please. Leave a comment or a sign that you've read this, or pass this to someone else to comment on. I really need to make up for all that I've screwed up here. I should have a friend keep me on task with this kind of stuff. If I had any friends. I wouldn't be here if I did have friends to hang out with constantly.

Also, I'd like to give a very sincere thanks to all those people that actually take the time to read anything I even talk about here. I've noticed a surprisingly high number of views from the United States, occasionally Russia/Belarus/Ukraine, and sometimes in Spain, and recently in South Korea. Thank you soooo~ much for all your support. Even if no one ever leaves a comment, knowing that at least one person is even stopping by my page is wonderful enough. :)

Again, I feel so bad with my delay online, and I will try my hardest to update soon.
(This was all done gradually over time on mobile, so yeah. I can't take that much time to sit at the computer to type this at once....)

Update: Oh my god. I am so sorry.

I really didn't mean to be away for so long. Just...life in general.
It's been exactly one month and a day since my last update. I definitely promise to make a post later today.
It's almost 2, or 2 AM, currently, and I am on my blog mobile, so I can't conveniently post right now.

Again, I sincerely apologize to anyone that happens to read this.
Thank you for all your kindness and patience, and have a good night or day.

Also, today is FREE!'s Tachibana Makoto's birthday. Have fun with that knowledge.

Two Today! "Love/Knot" by Ishimaru Hiroko & "Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto" by Ogura Muku (NSFW)

Guah. I so tired from working all day. But I also made a new discovery.
Apparently, sleeping on the floor is very nice. Not literally, but like traditional Japanese style, with a futon or mattress on the floor instead of a bed. I sleep very irregularly, so this is a nice change of pace.
So now I'm wide awake physically to be able to type this today. Besides my fingers hurting slightly. The computers weren't working for a little while, so I had to do some papers by hand. And then I was forced to pick up the violin again today. Oh wait, that's five days a week, nevermind. And piano. Oh wait again, that's everyday. Damn.

To make up for lost time these past couple days, I shall do two reviews in one post. *legasp* Can I really do that? What do you think? ...YES. This is my blog, so I shall have my way with it. In a non-sexual context. Sorry.

One: So I was browsing around, clicking random mangas here and there, and thought that some one-shots would be nice. Something adorable, and maybe funny too. Well, here's "Love/Knot" by Hiroko-sensei. It's cute and short. There's some sex scenes, obviously, but it's specifically drawn to not be about the sex, but the dorky, corny, shoujo-like love story that is halfway between shounen-ai and yaoi. Even other people who comment on the manga say so. So there's too many stories so summarize here, so check it out for yourself, okay? Trust me. There's a reason that it's name is here.

Two: Also looking around, I come across "Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto" by Ogura-sensei, and seeing that I have read it before and thoroughly enjoyed it's adorableness, I decided to read again. The cuteness is a little bit much to handle, but not quite on the level of Junta-sensei-or-Junko-sensei-cute. Also a collection of four one-shots. Personally, I like the first story the best of course. The first one continues to the last bonus chapter at the end, so make sure you've read that too if you so plan on looking into this manga!
There's very little to see in terms of sex, but even the sexy-times are cute and non-explicit. So not much to worry about, but some people cannot handle seeing white-stuff-semen or an uke's sexy face, so I put the label there to be fair.

Wow. I didn't realize that both mangas were actually one-shots. Oops.
Oh well, I guess that kinda makes up for the past week or so.
So, I need to get a move on with life. Because my days consist of waking, working, eating, sleeping, yaoi, reviewing, and playing with my iTouch. #fujoushi-fudanshi-lifestyle
Okay, I'll stop it with the hash-tags. #NOPE
I actually don't have a Twitter or Tumblr account, but I follow artists on Tumblr regularly. So that explains why.

"Nar Kiss" by Nekono Mariko (NSFW)

Hello again, and welcome t-!! *shot*

Well, I got a night to myself, and so I shall waste spend it on my manga blog. Yah. *cheers*
Heard of the manga"Love Stage!!" yet? It's one of the top yaoi mangas out there, along with "Junjou Romantica" and the such. Recently, in the past year there have been rumors going around that the mangakas would make an anime for "Love Stage!!". Finally, in the most-recently-updated-chapter-which-was-today's-chapter, Chapter 19, they finally announced that they will make an announcement in the next chapter. Not very helpful, but exciting any way. Why? That means that the anime is finally official, and it should come out anytime in the next year! *throws confetti* I preferably LOVED "Love Stage!!" 'cause I got a good kick out of it, but the last page of the recent chapter made me squeal like a 13-year-old girl over Justin Beiber. (NOPE.)

Again with the ongoing mangas, I went with "Nar Kiss" today for time's sake, since that was the only yaoi I actually got through today. I don't know why, but I ended up re-reading "Usotsuki Lily" by Komura Ayumi-sensei just for the shounen-ai jokes, and the hot-guys-that-have-feminine-faces-that-according-to-a-BBC-Sex-ID-test-says-I-am-attracted-to. I am also "averagely" masculine. Huh. Interesting.

So, "Nar Kiss" is basically a title-summary. It's about a boy whose family lineage has been known to pass on the curse of narcissism from Greek Mythology, and suffers from it terribly by having a split personality along with it. One day, the most popular-for-his-looks-and-charm and gentle guy in college finds out about his "secret" accidentally, and shit happens, and they happen to find out that kissing can prevent the narcissism personality from surfacing, so they become friends with benefits. (I don't think those are the right words, but that's one way to put it.)

There's only four chapters out so far, the fourth updated just yesterday. But like I say, there's always a reason why I would bother putting it's name out there to hear. "Nar Kiss" is not very well-known, and not appreciated until it is read. So go read it. There's masturbation too, so that's why it's NSFW. Just to be on the safe side. My rule of thumb: If I can see dick, I click "NSFW". :)

Here's ya go:
http://mangafox.me/manga/nar_kiss/

I'm slowly becoming more flowery, aren't I? [suuuure, let's say that. #hearthatsarcasm] (Shut up. Sorry, that was someone who-needs-not-to-be-named looking over my shoulder.)
So, with that, cyclamens and sweetpeas. (Go Google It if you need to.)

"Hana No Mizo Shiru" & "Hana No Migoro Ni" by Takarai Rihito (NSFW)

So I took a half-day off of working today, and gave myself a well-deserved break in a little while.
*cries tears of joy*

So today's topic was something I put off on semi-hiatus for a short time, and finally came back to it today.
"Hana No Mizo Shiru" or Only the Flower Knows (not to be confused with the popular novel, Only the Ring Finger Knows) is basically a bunch of coincidences and chance meetings that lead to closer relationship that eventually blossoms (no pun intended) into a beautiful love. The End.
And then it continues kinda in "Hana No Migoro Ni". With the boys as adults. But still have the heart of kids. Not really much different from reality, I suppose.

Yeah, I'm really out of it today, since I got three hours(?) of sleep last night. I couldn't pass out right away, and when I finally looked at the clock, it was 3:05. I wake up at 6:00 everyday. Amazing I'm still here, right? But Rihito-sensei's mangas always brighten my day, and this one thrusted a ball of sunshine into my face when the last pages came in the sequel chapters.
Sex scenes, simply put, were adorable. The uke in this manga is just.... too cute to be put into words. And of course, the innocent uke must have a gentle seme to make a cute story, so yeah.

Well looky what I found:

Ha. "Ten Count" by Takarai Rihito

Oops. Um. Well, it's Hump-day once again. Luckily, this year so far is not as bad as I thought it was to be as September is coming to a close soon. So enjoy the great outdoors while it lasts, because the change of seasons is starting to in the air.
I'm starting to feel sad, because it's the change of seasons though, 'cause that means that the anime season is changing up. And that means "Free! Iwatobi Swim Club" is over today. *feels* But then there's big brother "Meganebu!" coming into the anime picture frame, and I'm thinking of having slightly high expectations for it.
But this is a manga reviewing site, so try to look somewhere else for that stuff. Or tumblr works as well.

Though it's not a completed manga yet, only updated chapter 2 recently, I was interested in looking into "Ten Count" by Rihito-sensei. It intrigued me whenever a manga involves some sort of condition or special thing about the main character, 'cause, well, it makes them special.

So there's this guy, who for some unknown reasons has mysophobia, which is a fear of getting dirty or germs and stuff. And so he works for this normal company as a secretary for his boss, and one day, his boss is about to be run over by a passing truck when this ridiculously (in my opinion) handsome man jumps to the rescue, leaving the mysophobic's boss with only a fractured knee. Mr. Handsome is leaving the hospital, and Mr. Mysophobic runs after as request of the boss to give him his business card and a repayment. However, Mr. Handsome states all of a sudden that Mr. Mysophobic is mysophobic, and suggests seeing a psychiatrist. They magically meet each other again by fate later, and it turns out that Mr.Handsome is also a Mr. Psychiatrist at a local clinic. They talk, and after making a "I Should Accomplish These 10 Things" kind of list, the manga ends there, since, again, the translation is not done.

I love Rihito-sensei's work, and the drawing style is so clean. Though the stories itself have a little bit of angst in them, or drama I suppose. But I totally recommend her work to you all, it's worth a read, not matter how much time you can spare. Seriously, just take even a peek is worth it. Why? You'll get hooked. She doesn't really do sex stuff though, so don't look for it.

Gonna sign-off now. See you next time! (Ha. *cryingaftersayingfreereference*)

"Hidoku Shinaide" by Nekota Yonezou (NSFW)

IT'S SUNDAY. God dammit, tomorrow's already Monday.
Well, how many days has it been? I dunno, and I don't want to.
So, lately, I've been into using some recording equipment I recently got in my house, and it's so much fun. *flail*
Seriously, it's a whole different experience to be able to hear yourself singing. I can sound like a pubescent boy, and a certain YouTube singer called 『rockleetist』. What about you? I might be putting up a cover of a duet with my elder brother on YT. "Maybe" is the key word here. If anything, look forward to a fail of rockleetist's and Ashe's version of "Bad Apple!" in English. Dunno. Like I said, maybe.
(I have a weird talent/hobby to mimic certain voices, both singing and voice-acting. So when I'm bored, I voice act BL Drama CDs. Of course, the uke voice. God bless those boys who can do the seme's voice, it sends a freaking shiver down my spine.)

So, for the third time or so, I've read "Hidoku Shinaide" by, again, Nekota-sensei. To sum it up: Studious scholarship student in danger of losing said scholarship cheats on exam, delinquent classmate catches him, and blackmails him to sex but still offers a free tutor by top-university cousin, when delinquent actually is in love with bookworm and dah-da-dah-da-daaaah.
Oh and sex. Wait, did I say that already? Oops, yes. Well, there is plenty of it, considering that is what the blackmail is for. There is more to the story than the sex and blackmailing though, so I recommend reading it to get what I'm actually getting at here.

Overall, I like this manga, considering I read it for the third time today, but not everyone has the same preferences as me. Not exactly my favorite, but the bookworm's airheadedness, or just his ignorance to common sense, cracks me up when the timing is right.

Ah. I need to catch a break. Then again, I guess me being here right now is catching my break.

Here's the usual linky:

Fall is going to start this week, so for those who do have a change of weather in your area, I wish you luck. Kinda. Not really. Jk.
Good night, and good day to you all. :)

God Dammit. "Uwasa no Oujisama" by Mio Junta (NSFW)

Damn Sundays. They just lead to another Monday. Mondays.... God, I hate Mondays.

So I read fluffy stuff to brighten up my mood. :)
Mio Junta is by far my favorite mangaka. She is my idol; her art is beyond cute and fluffy, and her stories make me go "Awww~" sometimes, like a teenage fangirl over cute-shoujo moments in shoujo manga.
However, I really hate the fact that very few of her works are scanned and/or translated, so there are very few of her works out there in the yaoi world.

"Uwasa no Oujisama". Like the cover, it's sweet. Nothing more. I mean, this one is a bunch of one-shots put into one volume, but they're all *5 stars* worthy. There are usually one sex scene every chapter, since each chapter is a different story, but all unique. If I had to compare this to an object, I would say red-velvet cakes. Sinfully sweet.
................
I gotta stop doing that. Please tell me to stop so I can....

So, "Uwasa no Oujisama" was the first manga that I read from Mio-sensei, and I don't regret every time I re-read the whole thing.

Join the cult. Enjoy it with me here:

Good luck in the outside world. Signing off.

Update: Um. I Take It Back.

Apparently, after reading some more of Naono Bohra-sensei's work, despite her artwork not being my first pick in preference, her characters actually depict a little bit about myself.

Like my love for stuffed animals, like this guy:
http://mangafox.me/manga/hajishirazu_na_yoru/v01/c003/4.html

Or how I can fight easily despite my size an looks, like this guy:
http://mangafox.me/manga/power_of_love/v01/c001/13.html

I think I have a new-found love and respect for Naono-sensei. :)

(This was during my break, so really, don't have high expectations for a review today, folks.)

"Boku dake no Kimi" by Naono Bohra (NSFW)

So, tomorrow I gotta head to the dentist's office, and have another appointment to attend to afterwards, so I'm not sure if I can make a post tomorrow, but I'll try! ;>-<;

So after reading several different one-shots today (I've been reading them a lot, haven't I?), I decided to talk about "Boku dake no Kimi" by Naono-sensei. Not really my usual taste in artwork, but the story to this was cute none-the-less.

So, well, there's this dude, who when he was younger, was bullied for being small and girly-ish. This other kid comes along to save him, and the dude falls in love. When they grow up, the kid was all that mattered to this dude, and so treated everyone else he interacts with poorly. Blah blah blah, and they fall in love. Typical one-shot yaoi, but I still though the idea of this was adorable, though the artwork kinda says otherwise....

Well, anyways, it's an okay read, again, one sex scene, the usual espresso. Lawl, I might actually call one-sex-scene yaoi's "one-shot of expresso". Hahah- NO. Not really.

*sigh* Gonna head to bed now, since I have to wake up early for once to make it on time for that check-up. Ugh.

"Oni ni Hatsujou" by Amagi Reno (NSFW)

Well. That was a little bit of a wait. Kinda.
Gotta be out from Wednesday to Friday, so gonna do this now while I can, haha.
So today, before scaring the shit out of myself with horror game playthroughs, I was reading "Oni ni Hatsujou" by Reno-sensei.
I was thoroughly entertained. :)

Basically, today's review is about the life of a typical teenage boy living with his dead-father's past student, who feels obligated to take care of him until he can live on his own. I smell ulterior motives. *dundundun~*
This is the kind of manga where giving the full summary is no fun unless you read the real thing for yourself, so the link is below, like usual. Go ahead, I'll still be here to hear what you thought.

In my opinion, the humor in Reno-sensei's works gets me laughing so hard sometimes, it almost beats laughing after having the shit scared out of you. Literally. I jumped out of my seat from the scare. From a Brazilian game called Pesadelo. Good luck with that.

Link to humorous reads is below. Have fun:

"Mitsugetsukei Honey" by Sakuraga Mei (NSFW)

Well, it's been a little while since I last reviewed, but I guess that it'll be that way for a while now that fall is coming up, and the days are going to be back to the "usual" schedule.
I was mostly doing paper work today, (Trying to be productive, yeah!) so I only had time to read this one one-shot for now before reviewing and hitting the sack.

Basically, there's this student aiming for a law school, and has to study like there's no tomorrow. However, he also has to make a living for himself, living on his own. During one of his part-time jobs, this handsome man shows up and wants to have him for "take-out". (I lawled at that, by the way.)

There's really just one sex scene in this one-shot, but I'm not really surprised since it is a one-shot chapter.
Like Sakuraga-sensei's usual work, this story and art was cute and sweet.
"Mitsugetsukei Honey" is a cute little read, but not too little, since it's like 30-something pages.

Link the read is below:

"No Color" by Natsume Isaku

So I just finished "No Color" by Isaku-sama, and I would give a thumbs-up for this manga. :)
Unlike the last manga I've reviewed, this one has a plot. Kinda.

Basically, "No Color" is about the relationship between two neighbors in an apartment, one who's an academic student in university, and the other a part-time photographer. They couldn't be any more different, but I guess the term "opposites attract" applies here.

In my opinion, I think that Isaku-ssensei's other works, like "Sugar Code" and "Doushiyoumo Nai Keredo" were more enjoyable story-wise, and sex-wise too. Seriously, I think there was only one sex scene in this manga. But don't worry too much about it, if you're the type of person that prefers shounen-ai over yaoi. It wasn't really explicit, but still nice for development.

Isaku-sensei's art style is "cute" in a way, I don't really know how to put it into words, and the way she draws in the blushes of her characters is adorable. *laugh*
Overall, "No Color" deserves to be read at least once for enjoyment, and should really be labeled "Shounen-Ai" and not include the "Yaoi" part. Really, if it bothers people that much, they could just skip ahead a couple pages and still be good, though there's not much of a need to.

Link to enjoy is below:

Thank you for bothering reading have a good day/night!

First Review! "Oresama no Toriko" by Amagi Reno (NSFW)

So, I finally decided to get to giving you all some of my recommendations of good yaoi mangas that I read or have read.

Today, I just finished "Oresama no Toriko" by Amagi Reno, one of my favorite mangakas.
The main plot of the story is.... There basically is none.
Mostly, it revolves around this couple of a high-school teacher and a potter. (Not Potter, it's potter.)
They're so in love with each other, mostly 'cause of the sex, but try to overcome "obstacles" that come across their path of love. They face many awkward challenges, some that don't even make sense. (?)

Generally, I would only pick up to read this type of yaoi for the laughs, and sometimes for the sex scenes. Reno-sensei draws very beautifully, my favorite type of artwork so far. And her humor sends me to the floor clutching my stomach sometimes. Or the occasional snort.

The link to this manga is below, on MangaFox. (I will be providing links to my recommended mangas, usually from the "popular" sites, like MangaFox, MangaReader, MangaHere, MangaGo, ect. But usually ones most people use the most.)

http://mangafox.me/manga/oresama_no_toriko/

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all enjoy this recommended manga!
Feel free to comment on how you thought about it, I'm all ears to listen.
Besides any bad things to say about my reviewing.
'Cause then I'll verbally slap you.
Have a good day/night! :)

801 Menu (A.K.A. Dictionary)

The following is a collection of terms that us fellow fudanshi and fujoshi, or yaoi lovers, use and see often in our adventures (This is also WIP.):

Boy's Love (BL) = Literally, a homosexual relationship between two male persons. In Japanese, BL is literally translated "shounen-ai". It is not as graphic as yaoi.

Shounen-Ai = Defined above. :)

Yaoi = Pronounced "yah-oh-ee/yow-ee". Also known as Boy's Love, it is a Japanese acronym that stands for Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi ("No peak [climax], no fall [punch line], no meaning.") It is slightly different from shounen-ai, which is considered less "hardcore" than yaoi in a sexual sense.

801 = This set of numbers is a play off of the pronunciation of the word "yaoi". In Japanese, 8 is "ya" when counting objects, 0 is, well, "oh", and 1 in standard counting begins with the sound "i", like how we say the letter "e" by itself. So when you see "801", that's always yaoi coming ahead.

Seme = Literally "to attack" or "top", it stands for the male position in a sexual relationship. Also called "tachi," or "sword," as a play on the meaning of "to attack".

Uke = Literally "to recieve" or "bottom", it stands for the female position in a sexual relationship. Also called "neko," or "cat," as the position an uke can take during sexual intercourse.

More terms to come! :D

Hello World.

Hello fellow fudanshi and fujoshi everywhere!

I've created this blog for your sakes, to give full and honest reviews of great yaoi/shounen-ai manga, and their mangakas, otherwise know as the author and artists.

This blogspot is still a work-in-progress, and so it might be a little while longer before I actually make my first review, but fear not! That time will be soon, as soon as I figure out how to customize my blog.

I will also be creating a small collection of Japanese phrases and words for those unfamiliar with our common language. A yaoi dictionary, so to speak.

Thank you very much, and I hope you all look forward to reading.
Feel free to comment on posts when I make a review, because I like to hear your opinions as well! :)
Have a good day (or night, wherever you are)!
